i.e. SaaS called Import2000 by Descartes Systems Group
(DSG) from Canada, (formerly the company named FCS
from U.S that was merged into Descartes Groups in
2006) since January 2003. In partnership with Ocean
Commerce Ltd. who represents DSG as its sales agent
in Japan, we support customers with our technical
expertise in addition to marketing/sales contacts.
DSG operates the largest certified U.S. Customs Service
Center in North America and currently delivering electronic
gateway services access to the U.S. Custom such as
AMS (Import2000), and related EDI Services. Our clients
include Freight Forwarders and Ocean Carriers.

FCS Tradegate2000.com to be Consolidated Under
Descartes.com
Since becoming part of
the Descartes Systems Group, we have been
slowly merging Flagship Customs Services (FCS)
operations into the larger Descartes corporate
structure. Many of you have probably noticed
these changes. On July 21, 2008 we will complete
the transition by consolidating the FCS web
site (www.tradegate2000.com) into the Descartes
corporate web site (www.descartes.com). This
move will also mean that access to Import2000
Customs Compliance and other services, now
found through the login on the Tradegate2000
domain name, will be located under the Descartes
domain name (www.descartes.com). This does
mean that some of your business processes
may change. We expect these changes to be
minor but we want to inform you before the
move to further minimize any inconvenience.

Import2000
- Ocean AMS
The Import2000 Ocean AMS Service is designed
and implemented to provide a unified global
solution to an NVOCC or VOCC.
Import2000 Ocean guarantees compliance with
all CBP Ocean AMS regulations and procedures,
including the Trade Act 2002 and subsequent
regulations. Import2000 Ocean is fully certified
and approved as an Ocean AMS Service Center
by the CBP.
Import2000 Ocean AMS system requires that every
party involved in submitting Ocean/House Bills
of Lading data do so as a distinct filer type;
VOCC or NVOCC. The Import2000 Ocean Service
fully supports both types of Ocean AMS filer.
Import2000 Ocean automatically adjusts its functions,
user screens, and data validations to match
the type of user and service level.
Import2000 Ocean, in common with other FCS
services, provides a secure Internet VPN connection
service to allow a client to fully integrate
the flow of EDI data between their in-house
environment(s) and Import2000. FCS provides
a free software utility to enable and manage
this flow of data.
Import2000 Ocean is a fully integrated component
with the existing Import2000 Air Service. Thus
Import2000 provides AMS filing companies with
a single solution for both Air and Ocean shipments
entering into the USA.
Import2000 - Ocean is certified by the CBP
as an Ocean AMS Service Center service. In addition
it is fully compatible with all aspects of the
US Trade Act 2002, as it relates to all parties
involved in Ocean import transactions.
